RESOLVED By Corporal Punishment

This was another series of videos published by the sadly defunct Ravenhill Studios. While there were just six videos in the Beach Girls Spankings series and only four in Spankin' Down The Highway, there were no less than twenty-six videos under the RESOLVED By Corporal Punishment title. Again, the premise they wanted you to believe was that these girls were not actors, models or any kind of spanko, just ordinary American girl-next-door types who were willing to accept a spanking for financial gain. And again, as with the previous two series, they were to receive three bare-bottom punishments, usually for a timed five minutes, and the first of these was with the hand and the next two with implements chosen by Ravenhill.

However, whereas in the two previous series, the girls agreed to take a punishment purely for financial gain and the fun of being part of something a bit 'naughty', in this series, the concept was the girls had got themselves into a bit of a financial and legal mess. They got behind on rent or HP payments or something like that. The owner of the small business has threatened to take them to court. Now, the cost and time of a court case is unappealing to small businesses, so Ravenhill offers to pay in full of what the girls owe, if, in return, the girls agree to accept corporal punishment. Win-win. The business gets the money they're owed quickly and without wasting time in court, and the girls avoid getting a court judgment against them.  The other difference from the previous two series is that, in some cases here, it's Tierre's sidekick, Richard Lewis, who gets to administer some of the punishments or their "Head of Security" called Reginald.

In all cases, the situation and the option are explained to the girls in question, and they are required to sign some kind of legal document. And then the punishments commence. I would say that the first two punishments are generally rather harder than those we have seen in the previous videos, and the girls' bottoms are marked more heavily. Sometimes, when the cane is used, it is a rather lighter punishment. There is a short interview with the girl afterwards where they generally say it hurt a lot but was better than going to court. Some reflect on how it compared to the punishments they had while growing up.

The videos are rather shorter than the other series discussed before - they usually each had two girls being punished and lasted around an hour. In this series, there is only one girl per video, even when two are jointly responsible, and each one's punishment makes a separate video of about thirty to forty-five minutes in duration. In number two in the series, Debbie gets her full three-part punishment while her accomplice, Trina, watches on, clearly enjoying it. She looks a bit less confident towards the end as her own punishment draws close, and she makes up number three in the series.

There are tears in several cases - in one, a girl is crying after just the first half-dozen or so hand-smacks - but most can manage a bit of a smile by the end. Presumably, the reactions said something about whether or not they had experienced corporal punishment while growing up.

If you accept the fundamental premise that these are not girls who regularly indulge in CP practices, then it is hardly surprising that they are often quite distressed. These punishments are real - there is no doubt that right from the initial hand spankings, those carrying out the punishments are not holding back. 

Given that they probably assume that the hand spanking will be the mildest part of the whole punishment, these spankings must come as quite a shock with the realisation that there is much worse to come.

In particular, where the final part of the punishment is a bare-bottom caning (which is most often the case), the girls are subjected to a harrowing and painful experience that will also leave their bottoms showing significant marks for several days or longer.

I think, as with the previous series considered, I do accept that these are largely genuine. I like the fact that they are not being plied with alcohol this time to impair their judgement. I've never seen any of the girls in any other spanko movies and they're not especially glamorous - very much the girl-next-door look in most cases.

What is also interesting is whether you regard any other Ravenhill films as being part of a series. I don't think they ever made any more films like those in Beach Girl Spankings, Spankin' Down The Highway and Resolved By Corporal Punishment, where those being punished were just ordinary girls, but I will take a look at some of their other offerings.

Favourite for March

Those who have followed this blog for a while will probably be aware that I have always had a particular liking for black tights (pantyhose). What I may or may not have said previously is that I particularly favour opaque black tights and that even goes so far as the more woolly ones that are often favoured during chillier weather. Okay, so I'm well aware that this probably puts me in a very small minority in the spanko community, which probably explains why I can't actually recall ever seeing such a garment being worn on any CP adult site. Until now...

Curiously enough, it was just the previous week that her form teacher had been talking to the headmaster about Karen's behaviour. She seemed very clever at stopping short of doing something she could be properly punished for. In fact, a check of the records showed that apart from one lunchtime detention in her first year, she had never been disciplined in any way. However, she was a very disruptive element in class and they both agreed that she needed to be brought down a peg or two. And now she had made a big mistake that gave them the opportunity.

She had been sent to the headmaster's office and he had seen her immediately. He'd given her a very firm rebuke, and she was feeling quite teary before he finished. He ended by saying that her behaviour had crossed the threshold and that he had no option but to give her the cane for this matter. She had feared as much and was frankly terrified. But then he really made her suffer. He warned her that her short skirt would get in the way of a caning and he made her roll it up and tuck up the hem under her waistband. He then stated that her woolly tight were not compliant with school uniform rules and he made her roll those down as well. As if she wasn't sufficiently mortified already, he told her that she should spend some time thinking about her behaviour and the consequences it would bring, and he made her go and stand outside his office, facing the wall, and with her hands on her head.

Anyone seeing her in such an exposed condition would have no doubts about what was going to take place shortly. Fortunately, where she was standing was not on a main corridor, but anyone passing along the corridor who glanced in her direction at a precise moment would glimpse her predicament. Any, of course, anyone who had to visit the office would get a very clear view.

He kept her there for almost an hour. In that time, two teachers, including Karen's English teacher, one secretary, and three pupils came to the office. Each time Karen was trying to bury her blushing face as close to the wall as she could and desperately hoped they didn't recognise her while knowing in her heart they would have done. When he eventually summoned her back into office it was almost a relief. But then she saw the cane laid out on his desk.

Spankin' Down The Highway

I recently posted about the Raven Hill Productions series Beach Girl Spankings, so this is a follow-up with their parallel series Spankin' Down The Highway.

Replace the beach with a large and luxurious RV and head out across America to find young ladies willing to take three bare-bottom spankings on film in exchange for some financial recompense. And again, as on the beach, they find a surprisingly large number willing to participate. And what would a Raven Hill film be without Tierre doling out the spankings?

Just looking at one example (from the second film in the series), we start with them coming across a good-looking girl at a campsite and apparently finding it easy to persuade her to leave her tent and join them in their RV.

She takes her shorts and panties down and goes over Tierre's lap for her five-minute hand spanking. Her bottom turns a nice shade of pink, but she's still more or less able to laugh about it.  Then, the familiar choice board comes out, and she selects the puck with 'Hairbrush' written on it. Shorts and pants back down, and the hairbrush gets to work for the next five minutes.

Her bottom is definitely redder by the end of that, but she still has a five-minute caning to go, which makes her bottom even more evidently marked.

As with the Beach Girls Series, the normal pattern is for two girls to get spanked in each video. The one that follows the example we've just seen is something rather different. The team are using a launderette and get talking to a woman there who says she's really annoyed with her daughter, and when she gets home, she'll be giving her a good spanking. They explain what they're filming, and they make a deal with the woman where they'll pay her rather than the daughter and in return, she'll allow them to film her daughter's spanking.

First, it's a hand spanking, briefly over her shorts, but they soon come down. Then she gets a pretty hard whacking with a wooden spoon. But then, things take a more serious turn. In a process that she seems to know from previous experience, she is sent out into the garden to cut and prepare a switch.

There is definitely no sign of the girl laughing now and her bottom gets quite significantly marked. She ends up with a lot of tears running down her face.

Later in their travels, the RV found itself in New Orleans at the time of the Mardi Gras. The nature of Marid Gras means there are plenty of intoxicated girls acting quite wild, flashing their boobs at anyone around. It's perhaps not so surprising in this environment that they easily found girls willing to take a spanking.

The girls in this setting are more likely to strip completely nude. It also gets a bit more sexual with one girl applying a vibrator to her friend while she's getting spanked.

Probably caught up in the mood of the moment not to mention the amount of alcohol consumed, the girls all seem to enjoy the process, although it's quite clear that some of the punishments will have been quite painful.

Even when canings are involved and the girls visibly react to the sting on the cane, within a very short time after it ends, they're generally laughing again.

So, to summarise, how do I feel about the series. As with Beach Girls Spankings, the basic tenet that these are genuinely not girls who do spanking stuff more widely seems quite believable. None of them, so far as I can see, ever crop up on other spanking sites or other Raven Hill videos. The punishments are not especially severe, but they're going to have felt them. As with the previous series, I was a bit concerned about the amount of alcohol being given to young girls. For the main part, my impression is that none of the girls had any regrets about taking part.

The one scene that stands out here as a bit of an outlier is the scene with the mother punishing her daughter. If it was true, I would be very uncomfortable. The girl doesn't seem to be any stranger to her mother punishing her but to have her getting bare-bottom punishments captured on film, I would like to see more evidence of her consent.

Favourite for February

Nicky was suddenly feeling really scared. The last time she'd been sent to the head he'd given a really severe telling off that reduced her to tears and he had threatened that if she found herself in his office again this year, he'd give her something she could really cry about. And here she was again. She'd failed to hand in her homework three times and her teacher had just had enough. So, it appeared, had the headmaster. She had seen the cane hanging in his office before but hadn't thought much about it because, so far as she knew, only boys were caned.  But now there was no mistaking the fact that he was about to pick up a cane and that could only mean one thing. She was about to find out first-hand whether his canings were as bad as they were reputed to be. This seemed unreal. Like it wasn't happening to her. But it was. To her. The dawning realisation was almost enough to start the tears again.

I'm a long-time fan of David Adams' artwork. Sometimes a picture like this can capture a moment better than a video clip or even a still photograph can do. You can see her not wanting to look but seeing out of the corner of her eye what he's doing and what that is going to mean for her.

Coming of age

Today marks 18 years since I started this blog. A lot has changed in that time. I decided to mark the event by adding a photo I saw in one of the first copies of Janus I ever got my hands on. It was Volume 9 Number 4, which they acclaimed as their 100th edition. It had a feature about spanking scenes in mainstream movies, and it featured this image.

It depicts June Allyson getting an OTK spanking in the film Too Young To Kiss. Or rather, it is a staged publicity photo supposedly depicting a scene from the movie. The actual scene isn't quite as good. He's just climbed out of a swimming pool and is not wearing a suit. She's in PJs and a dressing gown and doesn't have the cute ankle socks, but on the plus side, he does wallop her with a slipper.

That photo set me off on a lifelong quest to find spankings in mainstream movies, and even 'though I know this picture was faked, it remains one of my all-time favourite images.

Chinese videos

If, like me, you were fascinated by the series of videos that appeared on YouTube featuring young people in China playing games (originally Rock - Paper -Scissors but then sometimes using dice) that resulted in the losers getting whacked by the winners (previously discussed here and here), you were probably a bit disappointed a few months back when the videos dried up as quickly as they had first appeared. You may not, therefore, have noticed that a new group has appeared under the name dongdongqiang which has picked up the theme again.

I'm pretty sure they're all new - one seemed very close to a plot I had seen before, but the video quality is better than previous ones, the majority have the option of English Language subtitles, most are between 8 and 9 minutes long and a new video is posted just about every day. If anything, they're hitting harder than before.

Favourite for January - Happy New Year!

Rachel begged the headmistress not to phone her mother to seek permission to administer a severe caning - she knew fine well that her mother would agree. But worse than that she would want to know why so then she'd know about her daughter's shameful behaviour as well. It had just been a panic reaction. Worst of all she was forced to listen to the headmistress detailing how the two girls had each received four strokes of the cane on their hands for something that was entirely Rachels' doing.  The headmistress explained at length that she had no option but to give Rachel eight strokes of the senior cane across her bottom. Rachel had never heard of anyone getting such a severe punishment and having never been caned before, she was terrified.

Video of the year 2024

I chose this as my video of the year because I do love a spanking scene that looks this authentic. I recognise that many followers will wish we got to see the young lady's short skirt being flipped up and panties and tights pulled down as the spanking proceeds to deliver her a bright red bottom. I'll let you in on a secret - that's exactly how the video progresses, but I just decided to edit it to only show the first part as she gets spanked across the seat of her skirt. And what a spanking it is - he's not holding anything back! He is smacking her really hard, alternate bottom cheeks and seemingly all on the underside of her buttocks where it's gone to hurt the most. I estimate there are sixty well-delivered smacks. You may or may not approve of (this part) of the spanking being delivered over her skirt, but I think we can probably agree that she would have a really stinging bottom by the end of this stage and his message would be getting home to her.

Raven Hill - Beach girl spankings

There are some big-name spanko-oriented producers out there – I mean, nowadays I’d be thinking of AEG (Real Spankings, Real Spankings Institute etc.), Sarah Gregory (Spanking 101, Cheerleader Spankings, Momma Spankings etc.), Clare Fonda (Girl Spanks Girl, My Spanking Roommate etc.), Strand (Red Stripe, English Spankers etc.), Xerotics (Spanking Online, Fetish Flixx, Spank My Bottom etc.). Then there are those that were single brands but quite large and are no more – NuWest comes to mind. But I wanted to explore one in particular that now seems to have vanished – Raven Hill.

There was quite a pushback on the brand from many people who didn’t really warm to the two males behind the company and in front of the cameras – Richard Lewis and Tierre Ainese. Also, when you look at their material today, if you’re able to dig some of it out, they were producing video in an era when camera quality was nowhere near the standard we expect today. On the plus side, they didn’t seem to be faking the scenes and the girls they featured often took quite severe punishments.

But they did something else that made them pretty unique, and I don’t recall any other producer ever trying to copy them. They made three separate series where they claimed that the girls being punished were just ordinary girls they came across and persuaded to take part.

So far as I’m aware, the first of these themed series was called Beach Girl Spankings – this was actually my introduction to this studio. I was visiting a shop in the Soho district of London, and they had several boxes on display for VHS videos. There was one I’d heard a lot about so I enquired and agreed on a price. A tape was produced, in plain packaging and with a handwritten label (who says the internet was the cause of piracy). When I got it home I discovered it was not the video I’d asked for but was the first of the Beach Girls Spanking imprint.

The concept was they had rented a beachfront house in Florida and Richard went out on the beach to talk to some of the girls sunbathing there. I’m frankly amazed none of them took flight and dialled 911 because he quickly steered the conversation around to the idea that his company made fetish videos that involved spanking, and they wondered if any girls they found on the beach would be up for taking part. One of the most interesting aspects of the videos was that often some of the girls would reminisce about spankings they’d experienced at home while growing up. Anyway, some of the girls did agree to go to the house out of curiosity and they would be given alcoholic drinks once they got there.

By and large the girls didn’t really look like professional actors or models – more ‘girl next door’ style. All of the features start with Tierre wandering out on the beach with a microphone and camera and striking up conversations with some of the girls sunbathing there. None seem suspicious of this strange guy coming up to them when they are sometimes very scantily clad and engaging them in a conversation. Usually after some general pleasantries, the girls (and they’re always either just a pair of girls or one on her own) ask him what they’re doing, and he explains that they’re making films. They ask for more detail and he tells them that they’re filming for an adult audience but insists it’s not porn and eventually gets around to telling them that they’re spanking films. Almost all the girls say they’ve never heard of anything like that.

In one of the later films in the series, Tierre, in a piece to the camera, says that about one in seven of those they approach end up going back to their beach house with him. Unsurprisingly, we don’t see him talking to any girls who decline the offer – they probably wouldn’t consent to be featured in the video at all – but in one case one of two girls agrees to take part but her friend just accompanies her for support. (Spoiler alert – they both end up participating).

They are plied with alcohol and chat about the process. There are mentions of generous financial compensation, and on a couple of occasions, the girls refer to the amount they are being offered. I have seen reviewers state the amount they refer to, but in the versions I’ve seen, the sound has been tweaked, so we don’t hear the actual figure. It is always explained that they will get three five-minute spankings, the first of which is always a hand spanking over Tierre’s lap. One odd thing is that we never see the girls being told the punishments will be on their bare bottoms but when they are told to take their bikini bottoms down, they are never surprised, shocked or reluctant to do so. Some just remove their bikini bottoms for the duration, others just slip them down and pull them back up between sessions. One girl stripped totally.

The five minutes are timed with an hourglass that has been allowed to have just five minutes pass, and then the girls have to turn them back the other way to signal that they’re ready for the spanking to start. The second and third punishment means are chosen by the girl by selecting a puck attached to a Perspex board. We see the board from the other side and can read the options – Strap, Flogger, Central paddle, Cane, Hairbrush, Sherriff’s paddle, and Escape. The two paddles acquire their names from other Raven Hill productions in which they featured. The concept of the Escape puck is that if they select that they can take the money and leave with no further punishment. Of course, from their side of the board, the girls can’t read what is on the underside of the puck until they take it from the board.

Where the five-minute rule is applied, the girls are told to bend over a stool, chair or table and he does punish them for the full five minutes. However, he talks a lot – I mean an awful lot – so it’s not quite as brutal as it first sounds. If they select the cane, the timing is abandoned, and he gives them twenty-five strokes.

In all cases – the hand spanking and the punishments with implements – he starts very gently and slowly warms them up. By the end of each session, he is using quite a bit of force. All of the girls’ bottoms get red and in some cases, they are showing quite a lot of marking. They may need to spend some of their unexpected income on another bikini that will provide a bit more coverage for when they return to the beach. Another spoiler – so far as I’m aware, no girl ever manages to select the Escape puck.

The best thing about these films is the comments by the girls. Very early on, while they’re still at the beach, a few of them reminisce about spankings they got at home when they were growing up. My favourite line is when one of the better-looking girls finally finishes the five-minute hand spanking and she slides to the floor and says ”Daddy didn’t use to spank me that hard.” It’s also good to see when two friends have taken up the challenge, how much they seem to enjoy watching their friend being punished, even if they know that their turn is only minutes away.

If you’re prepared to overlook the video quality, then I guess how likely you are to enjoy these films will come down to one key opinion. Do you believe that they just found these girls on a beach and persuaded them to take part? In favour of believing it, I’ve never noticed any of the girls appearing in another spanking movie. And quite a few don’t have model girl looks by any means. They’re all clearly over eighteen so they can consent to take part for payments that they all seem to feel are quite generous. However, some are under twenty-one so probably have little experience of handling alcohol and probably shouldn’t be consuming it under these circumstances.

On balance, I believe that they’re probably genuine. And I do quite enjoy them. I’ll review some other Raven Hill series in the future.
