Nicky was suddenly feeling really scared. The last time she'd been sent to the head he'd given a really severe telling off that reduced her to tears and he had threatened that if she found herself in his office again this year, he'd give her something she could really cry about. And here she was again. She'd failed to hand in her homework three times and her teacher had just had enough. So, it appeared, had the headmaster. She had seen the cane hanging in his office before but hadn't thought much about it because, so far as she knew, only boys were caned. But now there was no mistaking the fact that he was about to pick up a cane and that could only mean one thing. She was about to find out first-hand whether his canings were as bad as they were reputed to be. This seemed unreal. Like it wasn't happening to her. But it was. To her. The dawning realisation was almost enough to start the tears again.

The cane as an object or moreover, pray, even as "a subject " is all too piquant for moi, already. Growing up in the 1960s, sister & me gotten our Sothern belle dresses raised & panties pulled down for the cane on our bare buttocks from mom, when we were disobedient. That was the punishment. It was harsh, harmless & well, just normal & necessary discipline in our house.

CP was a fact of life. Period !
We thought nothing of it....that is, until the rattan whistled across our poor, chubby, bare botties, of course !
There was no cane at school: this was Georgia State. The paddle was used over clothed backsides (I never gotten it). Those delightful, pioneering Janus & Roue mags & videos (1970s/early 80s) translated the UK classroom canings into my own memories & experience (at home) so viscerally & authentically, to my mind, James. And the same is true for David Adams' art.
Naturally, I adore his drawings which reflect my own experiences of corporal punishment, with my sister & I growing up in a typical strict, religious family.
DA's drawing, "A traditional remedy" (summer 2024) , is a classic case in point here: with a naughty girl having her bare bottom smacked over pop's knee in her bedroom. Oh my!
Another superlative piece is "Something of interest in the corner", (1st April, 2024) her dress hoisted, panties beautifully positioned above knees, and her skelped, bare botty all red n sore on display....hands on head in the corner. YUP! Sure thing ! Why, it was nothing but par for the course for y'all daughters in yore, James! Quite right for y'all princess gang besties !!!
"Hot ends - or the perils of smoking" (April 2024) - is where three naughty girls gotten their bare botties caned by the Principal/Head. Again, this reminds me of Janus in that golden period of 1977-1987. Oh the halcyon decade, James ?!
Naturally, the three girls all gotten a letter home to present to their parents....more bare bottoms exposed again for CP pending, surely?!
Oh my! This was all just normal necessary discipline - there was no sparing the rod. Sound spankings on y'all girls' bare botties were the simple foundation of our good, traditional learning & nurturing & indeed Georgia State itself, was "spanking central" back then...still is today in fact!!
Some great, authentic bare bottom punishment drawings on DA's site, like "Taken to her Room" (December 2023) & "Holding On" (September 2023), "Strapped in the Library" (May 2023) remind me of my nostalgic, "memoirs" - pray, strict, normal, necessary CP experience at home growing up. And I also love "Trouble at school - double at home" (October 2023) where the recalcitrant daughter gets the paddle over her skirt at school....and then a spanking on her bare buttocks from her father OTK, at home. Oh my! Sure thang !
