IMPLEMENTS
Various forms of belt or strap seem to be the most commonly used implement. It's interesting to note that some of these might just be "to hand", some of them are purpose made with holes and shaping.
Next most popular are canes or things which serve a similar purpose.
There seems to be a bit of a mixture here - some are probably rattan cane as we'd expect mainstream spanking sites to use but others look a bit more imperfect - like a fairly straight branch off a suitable flexible tree or bush.
Then we have something that seems to be halfway between a loopy cane and a carpet beater.
And then there's this...
I have no idea what is happening here.
Next, we find a variety of implements that fall under the general category of whips, crops or sjamboks. Once again a mixture of implements created specifically for the purpose and common objects being repurposed.
And then we have a strong showing from paddles - both wooden and plexiglass. A large proportion of these appear to have been commercially created specifically for the spanking market with a lot of fancy engraving and holes...
Hand spankings are sometimes used but much less commonplace than we might expect.
And there's even the odd use of a slipper...
Very interestingly, there are some scenes that use long oar-like paddles. These appear to be of very traditional Chinese origin because I've seen them used in period Chinese movies. They are pretty unique to Chinese culture - often the girl is laid face down flat on the floor and sometimes blows are delivered by two people applying the punishment from alternate sides. Quite often the girls wrists and ankles are held by other girls.
And lastly, for this category, comes this...
Sorry - I have absolutely no idea! It looks like it might be a split very thick bamboo or something similar. I'm open to suggestions!

Oh my! That lovely loopy-whoopy thing, James ha-ha! Y'all love that one: "halfway between a loopy cane and a carpet beater", as you say. What a cute lil' spanky-tickle-tail stick for our recalcitrant, tender, bare botties, Boo-Hoo! And I think that implement is actually far better than our all-American paddle, & perfect of OTK admonishment, of course. One for mommy's purse, I reckon!!
I do like the preponderance of the cane in Chinese spanking James - yes it's personal: having gotten raised myself, with a rattan cane on my bare backside a bunch from my mother, way back in the 1960s!! Oh my! That was all just normal, harmless, necessary CP of yore which taught me right from wrong; but I was in the minority in Georgia, because most of my besties gotten spanked (bare bottom at that) with the traditional leather strap/belt or paddles, of course.
Y'all are naturally fascinated with implements, James. And then as the Chinese economy opened up to the world from mid-2000s, their spanking scene has ascended, naturally. For lil' Ol' me, working in global, Atlanta-based corporations for over four decades, I have been fortunate to meet wonderful people visiting & working from overseas. With female colleagues & buddies, I occasionally gotten the chance, over coffee n bourbon, to discuss upbringings/spankings etc when the conversation arose. Oh my! I have always maintained James, that Atlanta is Spanking Central, so the conversation sure does arise!!
I so fondly remember some gorgeous Nigerian women who visited our global HQ a bunch over the years, & who recalled the smack of the cane across their bare bottoms when they were naughty, growing up. This was simply normal, cultural aspects of typical Nigerian family life & strict parenting. Oh my! I was so mesmerised to hear their experiences, James. It was all so natural. There was no wishy-washy PC reluctance or wokerati reservation on their part here. And all very similar to discipline in the American South, already! So we shared our parallel stories & experiences a bunch.
Humour, nostalgia, & professional female-colleague bonding over a long time, was great, James. And I sure felt a real affinity with these Nigerian girls - having experienced the cane the same (AKA bare buttocks!) a whole bunch myself throughout childhood, along with my sister!
Likewise, over forty years, I also gotten insights into strict Singapore, Japanese & German contexts, & I was fascinated with global spanking facts & reporting. Our wonderful Hong Kong friends were obviously the proxy for Chinese anecdotes during the 1980s/90s, James, so I gotten familiar with canes, feather dusters & carpet beaters in the dialogue, so to speak! Vicarious smacked bottoms over bourbon! All swell.
