Guide to this blog

The Blogroll is now in three parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated with the most recent first. Many blogs use the BDSMLR platform which does not include date information; they are in a separate Blogroll arranged alphabetically but I check from time to time and remove any that have been permanently closed. The final part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds - again in alphabetical order.

What's going on?

Sunday 16th update

So now I have two blogrolls.

The NEW blogroll contains blogs not hosted on Tumblr including those that have migrated from Tumblr to elsewhere (plus just a couple on Tumblr that might escape the new regime).  Blogs on the NEW blogroll are generally being removed from my old blogroll, so the old one (below the NEW one) is for those that appear to still be on Tumblr with the deadline for removal of NSFW content just about upon us.  Quite a few old Tumblr blogs have already been deleted by their owners and I've tried to remove those from the old blogroll. I'm not sure what happens next.

Some people have posted on their Tumblr sites the address for their new home - after the 17th I don't know if Tumblr will allow that (since it points to NSFW content) - if not then everything in my old blogroll will effectively become empty or boring.  I've left them for now in the hope that they do find a new home and can point the way to it.

The NEW blogroll is listed alphabetically.  The most popular destination for many Tumblr refugees seems to be BDSMLR and currently that doesn't seem to provide an RSS feed to show updates.  I didn't want all the BDSMLR sites to end up down the bottom of the list just because we won't know when they've updated but I am showing the date of last update where it is known.  If BDSMLR switches on an RSS feed at some time I'll revert to a chronological listing then.

Also, I've started a list of Twitter sites.  It's early days - most of the twits I follow on there haven't even been added as yet but I'll get there - it's all just taking a lot of time.

The lights are going out all over Tumblr - who will be next?

Thank you James. I guess the demise of Spanking on Tumblr gives more credence to your excellent website...and other spanking websites.Their currency has increased ?!

And I guess a new technology platform will emerge sooner or later for the spanking community.
In the meantime there is always Twitter already, as you say.

It's sad about Tumblr. PC is going crazy. In fairness, Iam a lil' traditional, non-PC and old fashioned (Southern States !) at nearly 60; but I gotten raised as a child in the 1960s to fear the smack of a whippy-thin, rattan cane across my bare buttocks when I disobeyed my mother or gotten bad.

A time-out in my bedroom was after a bare botty whipping, not instead of it ! That was just normal medicine for sister and me. No fuss, just corporal punishment as routine. Quite right too. We deserved it. It stung like hell but was completely harmless and appropriate.

Who needs bratty snowflakes James ! And I am an upstanding citizen with accountability and responsibility...or should that be bending over citizen ? ha-ha
And yes, to be clear, the word "time-out" sure did not exist in Georgia in the 1960s.

Let's hope "Tumblr Mark 2 " is in the making eh ?!

Regards and thanks
