Guide to this blog
The Blogroll is now in three parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated with the most recent first. Many blogs use the BDSMLR platform which does not include date information; they are in a separate Blogroll arranged alphabetically but I check from time to time and remove any that have been permanently closed. The final part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds - again in alphabetical order.

Raising two wonderful daughters myself (strictly & lovingly), albeit in the 1980s/90s, I have always strongly agreed with the wise, insightful Janus editors who stridently suggested & supported a "good bare-bottom caning" AKA " a sensible pants- down caning" for naughty girls at home. And here, I quote twice from the Editorial in Janus 1979, Vol 8 number 12....plus ca change, James. Don't spare the rod.
Or as my strict, kind, religious Southern mother told me as a lil' girl in the 1960s
"a stinging bottom right now will stop you getting into trouble when you gotten older, Brenda !"
Oh my! And for sure, she pulled my cotton panties down, to bare my poor, soft, alabaster-white buttocks for her terrible, nasty, whippy-thin rattan cane (the "botty smacker") as she said this line. Corporal punishment was simply normal & necessary for me & my sister. And Oh my! Is indeed necessary for y'all wayward princess brats !
I am asked at church by new congregation moms with young daughters about discipline in the church-aligned-Bible-fashion of the South. Well, Oh my! Parents who care, cane on the bare !
