I've picked a pair of images from two different photo sets with different girls. So, in what sense are they a pair? Sorry, you'll get the answer to that in October!
This captures the scolding of the girl and her being told that she's in for a damn good hiding. She's probably protested that she's too old to be spanked but she can see from his face that he won't be persuaded. Unconsciously she's clutching her bottom which she knows is soon going to be very hot and sore.

I really like the expression on his face in this shot. I think we sometimes pay too little attention to the expression of the spanker but this shows how important it is. He seems to be conveying surprise that she thinks she doesn't deserve this treatment but he's clearly implacable - the decision regarding her fate has been made.

He looks too old to be her father but maybe a grandfather. I have found that I am much stricter with my grandchildren than their parents but they seem to like that. I suppose they know where they stand. Just to make it clear before someone wets themselves with indignation... I do not use corporal punishment.

Your Blog always initiates a story & I find it stimulates me to write my memoirs as I approach age 61 in the new year. Oh my ! I recommend this naughty girl gets a good dose of the whippy-thin, rattan cane (aka a Southern "switch") from father, or her strict mom ; with her grey dress hoisted & her cotton knickers pulled down of course, bending over the armchair or sofa. That will sure make her squawk, James, from my experience.
Because that was the exact punishment I administered to my own two daughters when they misbehaved, from a young age in the childhoods (1980s/90s), and it was also the exact whoopings I gotten from my own mother too, as a child myself in the 1960s.
Forget hand spanking. Cane to bare botty sure focuses one's mind on staying good, James, as my girls (now in their 30s) will ruefully recall. And as my sister & I can ruefully recall from days of yore also !
So when does this daughter in the photo receive her well smacked bottom from mommy or daddy ? I was usually a spontaneous spanker, James. I did not have my girls do corner time or any rituals. It was a quick fetch the cane, brief scolding, pull down the knickers & whoop their bare botties real sore . After punishment I then pulled up their panties again & sent them to their rooms. This was the same process I endured as a child, naturally.
For sure, baring their bottoms goes without saying for max sting, max safety & max humbling, but I did not like long routine extras that created time-wasting or humiliation. A mom's spanking should be fierce but kind, James. "Spanking with Love" as we say in the South. My hubby did not spank our girls & so I advocated a quick, salutary, harsh but fair tanning of their bare seats when they deserved it...and then let's get on with the day already !
