The campaign against the ridiculous censorship by ATVOD of spanking and bondage sites in the UK seems to have dropped out of the news a bit but with Pandora Blake battling against them it hasn't gone away entirely.
Now the wonderful Ariel Anderssen of Restrained Elegance has put together a short video called Tony Bear Explains UK Censorship To Lady Bear. The clip brilliantly points to the hypocrisy of the savage violence allowed in mainstream films contrasted with the very limited and consensual activity depicted in the CP world.
The title of this post comes from the video and I think it sums up the case very nicely.

Sadly since I posted this I have discovered that Pandora Blake has received the final determination from ATVOD meaning that she has had to close her site Dreams Of Spanking to new members and will soon need to close it entirely or remove most of the content. Worse than that, if past experience is anything to go by, ATVOD are likely to out her by publishing her real-life name with whatever consequences that might have for friends, family and work. I think ATVOD are really sick that they hold this power and seem to enjoy using it. I have updates the link from where I refer to Pandora in the post to give the most up to date posting by this courageous and beautiful young lady.
I haven't commented up until now because I am so outraged by the sheer stupidity of our new puritans. These new puritans are no different to those that cut the gargoyles off the church in the village my mother was born in. They are no different to the uptight fools who, when I was a young man, prosecuted "Lady Chatterley's Lover." They are happy to ignore the sexual abuse of children because of political correctness or political connection but want to interfere in the consensual sexual interests of adults. When I was young, Gay men were persecuted and prosecuted. Now they can marry so clearly the new puritans need another target group.
