I do like it when someone takes a traditional school CP scene and brings it up to date. We all know that, certainly in the UK, corporal punishment won't be coming back to our schools anytime soon, or, indeed, ever. But just imagine, if it did...

Some schools enforce old-fashioned uniform rules, and the girls all wear knee-length skirts. However, visit your average comprehensive and there is a lot more latitude. If a modern-day schoolgirl were faced with being caned across her bottom, there seem to be two possibilities. One possibility is that that they would be wearing an obscenely short skirt over dark black tights and if they bent over in time-honoured fashion they would probably be exposing an alarmingly scant pair of knickers, thinly veiled by their tights, and the caning would, to all intents and purposes, be on their bare bottoms. The other is that they would be wearing a pair of tight, stretchy trousers, which might be a little less explicit, but which, nonetheless, would provide an excellent outline of the target area. Given advance notice that a caning was a distinct possibility when visiting the head's office, I suspect many would choose to wear a pair of trousers that day. And I might be in a minority of one, but I quite like the idea of delivering six firm strokes of the cane across a tightly trousered posterior. I'm sure the recipient would quickly learn that tight trousers only provide for an illusion of protection from the first sharp crack to the last.

Love this one from one of the more minor studios, MARKEDBUTTS. It's taken from a well-thought-through video. Boyfriend-girlfriend out for a walk, she acts like a brat, he pulls her shorts down, puts her over his knee and proceeds to give her a pretty thorough spanking. I have a bit of a thing for outdoor scenes - more later this month. But I suspect the humour in this shot was not something they had planned for or expected. Partway through the spanking she suddenly notices that the whole event is being watched by a seal resting in the cave behind them. I suspect the seal was rather confused by what it was witnessing. Anyway, she is a nice girl-next-door type, good acting and a spanking that leaves her with a very red little bottom.

In some ways, it's amazing that without any text or other images, we all probably have a pretty good idea about what is happening, and about to happen, here. I would say she's done something very naughty, her father is furious and he's marched her out onto the back patio. Then he ordered her to remove the belt from her shorts and hand it over. And she's about to get her backside thrashed with that same belt. What we don't know as yet is whether he'll make her take her shorts and panties down for the thrashing - I think there's a good chance that he will. And we don't know if he'll make her bend over the end of the garden seat, but I'd put money on it.

So, come on, tell me - did anyone else imagine a different storyline from the one I've set out?

Favourite for April

I know and understand that some people don't feel comfortable with spanking scenes based around a teacher/schoolgirl scenario but an awful lot more do. I think it's important to realise that such scenes are not meant to depict something we would feel comfortable with if it were happening now in real life and certainly not with minors or non-consenting adults. However, when consenting adults want to play with a spanking (or in this case, caning) theme, dressing in suitable school attire and, ideally, using an appropriate setting, can intensify the experience. I think we all understand that this sort of scenario would, at one time, have been something that happened for real and the participants can get themselves into the mindset of what it might have been like for both parties. And for me, the more realistic it is to something that would once have happened in schools up and down the country the better. That's why I tend to favour those scenes where the girl being punished is not unclothed.

Were girls ever caned on their bare bottoms by a male teacher? Well, sadly, the answer is yes, but in most cases we know they really happened because the teacher was prosecuted and convicted of a serious criminal offence.

However, might a teacher have got away with turning a girl's skirt back and caning on their panties? I think they probably would, for several reasons. The knickers in the 1950s and 1960s covered a larger area than their modern-day counterparts and were generally of a rather thicker material. Girls were relatively relaxed with the knowledge that others would quite often see their knickers and, indeed, PE classes might be conducted with just a vest and PE knickers so they would be exposed at those times. It is also a fact that girls seemed to quite enjoy doing cartwheels and handstands thus exposing their knickers to all and sundry and that they maybe even chose to do that to tease the boys. From the teacher's point of view, if a girl was bending forward to be caned, the hem of her skirt would likely be just about where he was aiming to land the strokes and would interfere and make aim difficult. Flipping the skirt up would make for a much clearer target area, The girl would probably have far more to worry her than the thought of him seeing her knickers.

So this image strikes me as a very credible representation of what a school caning may have looked like back in the late 1950s.

RESOLVED By Corporal Punishment

This was another series of videos published by the sadly defunct Ravenhill Studios. While there were just six videos in the Beach Girls Spankings series and only four in Spankin' Down The Highway, there were no less than twenty-six videos under the RESOLVED By Corporal Punishment title. Again, the premise they wanted you to believe was that these girls were not actors, models or any kind of spanko, just ordinary American girl-next-door types who were willing to accept a spanking for financial gain. And again, as with the previous two series, they were to receive three bare-bottom punishments, usually for a timed five minutes, and the first of these was with the hand and the next two with implements chosen by Ravenhill.

However, whereas in the two previous series, the girls agreed to take a punishment purely for financial gain and the fun of being part of something a bit 'naughty', in this series, the concept was the girls had got themselves into a bit of a financial and legal mess. They got behind on rent or HP payments or something like that. The owner of the small business has threatened to take them to court. Now, the cost and time of a court case is unappealing to small businesses, so Ravenhill offers to pay in full of what the girls owe, if, in return, the girls agree to accept corporal punishment. Win-win. The business gets the money they're owed quickly and without wasting time in court, and the girls avoid getting a court judgment against them.  The other difference from the previous two series is that, in some cases here, it's Tierre's sidekick, Richard Lewis, who gets to administer some of the punishments or their "Head of Security" called Reginald.

In all cases, the situation and the option are explained to the girls in question, and they are required to sign some kind of legal document. And then the punishments commence. I would say that the first two punishments are generally rather harder than those we have seen in the previous videos, and the girls' bottoms are marked more heavily. Sometimes, when the cane is used, it is a rather lighter punishment. There is a short interview with the girl afterwards where they generally say it hurt a lot but was better than going to court. Some reflect on how it compared to the punishments they had while growing up.

The videos are rather shorter than the other series discussed before - they usually each had two girls being punished and lasted around an hour. In this series, there is only one girl per video, even when two are jointly responsible, and each one's punishment makes a separate video of about thirty to forty-five minutes in duration. In number two in the series, Debbie gets her full three-part punishment while her accomplice, Trina, watches on, clearly enjoying it. She looks a bit less confident towards the end as her own punishment draws close, and she makes up number three in the series.

There are tears in several cases - in one, a girl is crying after just the first half-dozen or so hand-smacks - but most can manage a bit of a smile by the end. Presumably, the reactions said something about whether or not they had experienced corporal punishment while growing up.

If you accept the fundamental premise that these are not girls who regularly indulge in CP practices, then it is hardly surprising that they are often quite distressed. These punishments are real - there is no doubt that right from the initial hand spankings, those carrying out the punishments are not holding back. 

Given that they probably assume that the hand spanking will be the mildest part of the whole punishment, these spankings must come as quite a shock with the realisation that there is much worse to come.

In particular, where the final part of the punishment is a bare-bottom caning (which is most often the case), the girls are subjected to a harrowing and painful experience that will also leave their bottoms showing significant marks for several days or longer.

I think, as with the previous series considered, I do accept that these are largely genuine. I like the fact that they are not being plied with alcohol this time to impair their judgement. I've never seen any of the girls in any other spanko movies and they're not especially glamorous - very much the girl-next-door look in most cases.

What is also interesting is whether you regard any other Ravenhill films as being part of a series. I don't think they ever made any more films like those in Beach Girl Spankings, Spankin' Down The Highway and Resolved By Corporal Punishment, where those being punished were just ordinary girls, but I will take a look at some of their other offerings.
