Guide to this blog

The Blogroll is now in two parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated, with the most recent first. The second part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds in alphabetical order. The section covering blogs that use the BDSMLR platform has been removed as it is no longer of any functional use.

Realisation

There are just so many video clips out there where innocents who have never felt the reality of what a pain the backside was really all about, make the mistake of thinking it's all just a laugh and then discover that actually, spankings do hurt. I love this short slip - apparently adopted as an advert by those running the museum - when two girlfriends discover the old whipping table and a conveniently provided birch.

I suppose this might be the wrong time to point out to the surprised recipient that it was very rare for sentences of birching to just be a single stroke and that between three and nine strokes was more usual, and that for most of the time that punishment was available to UK courts it would have been administered to the bare buttocks. Now shall we just do it again, but make it more real this time...?

Sorry B - the automatic colorizing in Adobe Photoshop Elements only works with photos (and even then it's a bit hit and miss) - there may be other apps out there that can handle drawings but I don't know of one, so it comes down to needing someone with far more artistic skill than I have to do the job manually.

WE must run a campaign to encourage these girls to do it properly!

Well said, Old Tom, back to the future eh ?!
Trouble is - for these two it's customer experiential. For me it was just harsh reality ha-ha!
Thanks, James. Hi B, too.
