Does anyone know if this advert was for real and if it ever made its way on to television? And has anybody ever tested it out for themselves? I'm happy to supply the mints and the caning to anyone who wants to test the theory...

It's a genuine advert from the early 70s when Sharps mints did a number of similar adverts suggesting that their mints could take your mind off anything.

Pray, why were these darn Sharps Mints not available in my local candy store in the 1960s when I needed them ?!!!
Or maybe my wise, God-fearing mom just refused to buy them in my rationed quota ?!
