Regular visitors to this blog will know that I am mainly interested in scenes with female subs so this is a bit out on a limb.
However, given the reputation that Catholic schools (and especially the Christian Brothers) had in the UK, Ireland and elsewhere, I'd like to bet there are some people who are going to be squirming a little bit at this picture which probably brings back some very unhappy memories for some guys of a certain age. There's a tremendous tension in the scene.
Not sure where it originates from but I'm guessing a movie - any ideas?

I met a man some years ago educated by the Christian Brothers. He told me he was physically abused every day he was at school.

I met someone who told me that his Catholic school had a few staff who were members of the Christian Brothers. He said that all of the teachers used the cane to deal with wrongdoing but that, from personal experience, he knew the Christian Brothers seemed to hit much harder than the others.
Is this possibly a scene from "The Leaving of Liverpool"?
