The Blogroll is now in three parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated with the most recent first. Many blogs use the BDSMLR platform which does not include date information; they are in a separate Blogroll arranged alphabetically but I check from time to time and remove any that have been permanently closed. The final part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds - again in alphabetical order.

The fruit does have an odd odour that some people don't like but a public caning! Now that's discipline! We could do with a bit of that here.

I confess that I had to look up "durian"
If it smells anything as bad as limburger cheese, then public caning is quite justifiable.

I have a visceral, strong "love hate" thing with Singapore, James. I have visited Singapore a bunch of times, mainly through work, with extended stays for travel & leisure where possible, naturally.
Firstly, I HATE the judicial, public canings (or private canings) carried out by the state. I really HATE that ! It is barbaric, medieval & I deplore it. Period.
I am an advocate of human rights (in Georgia SA). Enough said.
That clearly said, do I like the loving, caring, if controlling family culture whereby naughty girls at home have to bend over the armchair, have their schoolgirl dresses raised, their cotton, white knickers pulled down for a rapid dose of the mamak cane on a bare botty from a strict, loving long suffering Tiger mom ? Pray, yes, absolutely. I LOVE that. That is how I was raised. And how I raised my two daughters. A good bare-bottom caning is harmless, normal & necessary in my family book for raising girls, James !!!!
I LOVE the strict culture of family discipline and CP for daughters in Singapore, James ! Singapore girls are well-behaved....and the "cane to bare botty" culture at home is definitely a factor here, me thinks !
Oh my! I have a bunch of good Singapore moms/daughters as friends, James. I met these good ladies via my work in the Atlanta Corp, over many years, since I started in the early 1980s. I was fortunate to meet these women in Georgia when they arrives on campus HQ, and the advent of email harnessed our discussions & relationships over decades....plenty of it centered around CP & raising our daughters (with CP & strict values).
As you know from my previous comments, James, I have an even larger "spanking diaspora" (ha-ha!) from my Nigerian besties. These top-educated, middle class, redoubtable moms are notably vivacious & candid about caning their girls, & have enriched my own life over the years. They are so forward in their opinions about CP !!
The Singapore moms are more reserved, but are still forthright about how they deal with naughty girls at home. Why, rest assured, James, the sound of a rattan cane whistling across the bare botties of recalcitrant daughters in good homes across both Lagos & Singapore is very common indeed, let me tell you !!!!! This fact is not often mentioned in the wokerati confines of the UK, Europe or even parts of America these days, James. Like Atlanta, like Lagos, like Singa-Stinger.
Mamak rattan canes (just cute n nasty, stingy) are sold ubiquitously across Singapore. Like martinets in France, Rohrstcks in Germany & canes in the UK.... back in the 1950s & 60s. No PC nonsense. Pink mamak plastic handles for naughty girls. Designed for the bare botty too ! Yes ma'am ! BOO-HOO! Not meant to sting through traditional cotton schoolgirl dresses & cotton panties. And bare botty is how they are administered too. I do so approve James!
Singa moms gotten no wishy-washyness when punishing daughters - & and when these moms (my global colleagues) are visiting me in Atlanta HQ, then it is their trusted, loyal Filipino maids, back home in SE Asia, that will fetch the mamak cane, pull down panties & raise dresses when girls are naughty at home & a tender bare botty or two needs a darn good tanning ! Oh my!
Why yes, I herald the chubby, tender-skinned, squishy-soft well-padded place provided by God for strict, loving, maternal (or paternal) panties-down punishment with the cane (pray, the Church rod , so says this Southern belle from Georgia, James (approaching 67 already) And this what my young granddaughters are now ruefully discovering at home in Georgia, James.
Moreover, those fierce, kind Filipino maids in Singa often live with the family (or arrive daily for chores & care) and are more than simply loco-parentis.....notably when the cane is deployed !!!
So yes a LOVE HATE, James
