One of the sad things about CP photos and videos is that as we get used to ever better quality and resolution of both, so we may disregard some of the older material that doesn't quite reach today's standards. But, even if this is a bit grainy, and the colour isn't as good as we would get today, there's no doubt that this picture is likely to raise the pulse rate for quite a few readers.

There is something about that setting which conveys not routine exactly but perhaps normality. In that household bad behaviour by that young lady is dealt with in that way. Wrong? Well I am not so sure about that.
Anyhow Targetarear I must be innocent was does get raised if it isn't pulse? A pure soul such as I am just needs more information....

Hi James, Yup, this sure is lil' Ol' me in the 1960s, gonna get a whooping with the cane from mom - "a switching" - as she called it. Or it could also be my wonderful, lil' sister (now nearly age 60, already, ha-ha!) This photo could adorn my memoirs' front cover James ha-ha!!
In truth it is far too accurate & scary! As you say, it's all quite realistic. Oh my!
Even my poor, cotton, white, panties & jeans are correctly positioned around my knees - mom never took my knickers off. They gotten pulled down to our knees every time for the cane throughout childhood, to bare our chubby, white backsides for strict, loving punishment in the normal way; not even pulled down to our ankles. I so love this photo, James. It is very visceral & powerful because I only seek reality in CP, not fantasy.
Sister & me deserved our whippings, & they did us good over years, James. I always joked & said that I gotten to College & had myself a darn good career in corporate Atlanta because my strict, religious mother would tan my bare botty good n proper with her spanking stick a bunch when I was a naughty child. For sure, I thanked my mom for her discipline for decades (typical of a traditional Southern family). But corporal punishment was just routine & normal for Christian families in our church community & suburb. Yes, the strap & paddle were generally more common locally than the rattan cane (or even a fresh green switch from the garden!) but my girlfriends gotten their bare bums whooped, whatever. Period.
Although my mom did convince some mothers at church to purchase an identical cane (to mne) for their daughters AKA my friends/peers. So I sure was not popular at School, Bible Class or Cheerleading for that particular move, already, James!!
The "rod of correction" & "spanking with love" as advocated by the church - from a young age I was very aware & fearful of the ferocious salutary sting that mom's piece of high quality, very flexible, thin piece of rattan cane would have on the sensitive skin of my bare, alabaster-white buttocks. She sure gotten two angelic, compliant, obedient, sorry lil' daughters after sister & me gotten soundly whooped bare-ass-sore with our knicks tugged down in the living room, over the sofa- as shown here. Indeed, I raised my own two young daughters (born 1980s) with that exact same lil' cane on their bare bottoms when they deserved it as a strict, loving & hardworking mother myself. It sure worked for me as a mom! Very effective & utterly harmless.
Why panties pulled down sure did always ensure proper chastisement: big safety, big humbling and a big, bad sting!! My girls in turn are now in their mid-30s & are pro-spanking. Oh my! This fantastic photo is the circle of life for me James, & I would say it is also for many of us Southern belles growing up...even today. CP good, PC bad!

In the 1970s, I discovered Janus. This was my evidence-base for learning about CP in the UK. And Europe too. The Readers Letters were mesmerizing, James.
1. A lady remembers her 1940s childhood
"My parents were strict disciplinarians, up to the age of seven both
my sisters and I were spanked on our hare bottoms. I was the eldest
and the day after my seventh birthday my father told me that for all punishments for being naughty I would receive a bare bottom caning. "
2. A lovely succinct line from a nostalgic lady,

Oh my, Cane to bare botty !! I love that narrative, James. The wonderful intent of Aunty, a teacher - buying a cane. And moreover, emphasizing that at home it's "pulling your pants down" for the rod on a bare schoolgirl botty. No wishy-washy nonsense.
