I wonder how may people in the UK, like me, watch the series Waterloo Road every week thinking how much better it could be if they did a retro version where punishments like being sent to the cooler were replaced with more traditional school punishments? How many times would Jodi "Scout" Allen have felt the cane across her bottom...?

Don't watch it but I am lost in admiration for the teachers in all our local schools. I see the kids come out in good order, the teachers supervising bus stops and all the exits on good terms with the kids. There is no trouble on the way home. Then on Staurdays or evenings when in the care of their parents these same kids turn into foul mouthed, arrogant, rude and inconsiderate beasts. I heard one 13/14 year old girl in a local supermarket telling her mother to "F***k off" in a violent way. Seems to me its the parents who need the canes and should use them.

I haven't seen this specific serie sorry. But how many times I wanted to see a fictionnal TV characted getting spanked?
Not only because like everyone here I have this spanking fantasy, not only because these actresses are good looking, but also because the playing is often fake and the dialogues annoying and at some point I think they have to pay for it : P
