A face like a smacked ass....
"A spanking should feel like a kettle of boiling water gotten poured over your bare bottom", James. Why, that was my mother's quote in the 1960s. Except....that a spanking is totally harmless. Yup! Harmless Hell I call it. Indeed a bare bottom caning was called "Kind" by my loving, strict, pious mom, whereas caning hands or legs was deemed cruel & abusive (& outlawed). Quite right too, James. Mom's "Kind" was defined by the nuanced complexities of the American South, with all its Church denominations, culture, religion, social structures, community values, family traditions & societal mores. In summary, "spare the rod, spoil the child" was what I heard every week as a child.....if not every day ! Bare, red bottoms were a fact of life for daughters back then (well, still are today, James!)
Oh my! Great photo above - why, my intuition tells me her backside is totally bare for this chastisement (British plimsoll maybe ?)
I saw countless pained princess grimaces, James! Why, it was more the element of surprise when a naughty lil' girl gotten her shorts n pannies pulled down in the park for mom to tan her chubby, bare, lily white botty to a shade of ripe tomato. That was so common in Atlanta, in the 1960s (ditto in the store, mall, parking lot, or on the beach, already, with swimsuit bottoms pulled down !)
But alas, at home, in private, the belt or cane is firmly felt on naughty daughters' bare backside to elicit a more intense feeling of discomfort, James.
For sister & me, mom used to make the first few strokes of the cane the hardest. Oh my! That terrible SHOCK n AWE. The rasping-raw STING of the cane across my bare botty. That was the punishment. I would scream like Hell. It stung like hell ! A baker's dozen. Not brutal strokes but firm flicks - "the hornets nest" on a sensitive-skinned, unprotected, orthodox surface.
When my sister gotten whooped 60s/70s, I would discretely sneak around to see different angles of view: her blubbering face, like the one above. Her chubby, soft, well-rounded, squishy-alabaster-white botty from various tangents, & the SMACK! of cane on bare moons like Dolby sound.
Yes, mom allowed us to watch each other being chastised.....a darn good deterrent, she said. And it was exciting theatre, James. And god darn scary. I never thought anything of it. Bare bot punishment was a fact of life for girls, growing up...."daily bread" as y'all at Church said.
My 2 daughters gotten "cane to bare botty" (80s.90s), like their mom did !!
I translated all the techniques, scolding ideas, baring rituals, cute but scary, phrases & warnings from my mother, naturally. My daughters are super strict !! Why, yes, I do now occasionally see my granddaughters with that same expression in the photo above, James, when they get their bottoms smacked after disobedience. A stinging bottom is just normal & necessary, in my view Yes, they too get the cane: dresses are hoisted & their panties are always taken down.....harsh but fair, like mother, like daughter. Quite right too. Frankly, it's no big deal, James. I have no truck with wokerati/PC nonsense !!!!
It's all absent in Europe & the UK now. But common in the South. The sound of cane on naughty daughters' bare botties is common in Nigeria & Singapore homes too, James. I fostered lovely relationships with Nigerian moms (visiting) from my work in a large corp in Atlanta over decades. We talk off-site (obviously !!) over coffee n bourbon :-)
Oh my! These gorgeous, professional women are strict super-hero moms who talk openly & candidly about their own CP & their daughters' CP. The cane is normal. Bare bums are normal. What is so cute James, is that....these women do not even understand wokerati/PC, let alone feel pressurized by it ! Love that !
And likewise too, I have a bunch of lovely African American moms/grandmas in Georgia who are willing to talk about spankings, James (another account needed). That face like a smacked ass above is alive n kicking, James
