The Blogroll is now in three parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated with the most recent first. Many blogs use the BDSMLR platform which does not include date information; they are in a separate Blogroll arranged alphabetically but I check from time to time and remove any that have been permanently closed. The final part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds - again in alphabetical order.

New gift available in the UK
A UK company Firefox is now offering for sale an adult sized naughty step. Wonder who's going to be the first to get one of these and get a naughty girl having to sit on the step until the time comes to bend her over it...
This was a great joke!However it reflects one of the modern punishments for younger kids! We used it in the 80's ,when our two girls were growing up!They had to sit on the bottom of the stairs in full view of the front door and anyone coming to the door could see them! Not too bad for pre or young teens but when 17/20, you can guess they were very embarrassed! After completing at least 1/2 an hour the naughty one was taken into the lounge to be spanked or caned and without any protection! They are married now and visit often and smile ruefully at their recollections of those days! AH
Is it some spanking apparatus ? You sure do have some good spanking furniture on your Blog :-)
The Naughty Step versus a lil' thin rattan cane to the bare botty ?! That was the mom's dilemma I gotten faced with raising my two young daughters.
I am not sure the Naughty Step will catch on in Atlanta, Georgia, James ha-ha. The annoying & growing PC wave is not so strong in the South as in the UK or Europe ! Spanking is integrated into family culture in the South.
Sadly the Naughty Step was not invented when my girls gotten raised (1980s/90s) Oh my ! So they gotten the cane. It sure worked !! No time-outs required either, I'm afraid. And there was no PC then already. Thank the Lord ! I simply fetched the "rod of correction" from the downstairs cupboard and two lil' pairs of cotton knickers gotten pulled down for a whooping. Harsh, fair & harmless discipline when needed.
That was just normal punishment in our house - tender, soft botties sure did sting a bunch. As a traditional, conservative, strict mom I did not think about it too deeply. It was just a necessary action for my daughters for misdeeds. And corporal punishment is routine & common in our Church community.
The leather strap is the more popular Southern choice (& the paddle too) but I gotten whipped with the cane (the traditional flexible Southern switch) in my 1960s, religious childhood by my mother, & with my botty completely bare in the living room. So my girls naturally gotten the same punishment. They're now grown up as happy, responsible citizens in their 30s. A maternal spanking with love was just a fact of growing up, James. Thank you.
