Season Beatings to all

I'm always fascinated by the number of pictures appearing on the internet all of the time depicting ordinary folk who would never associate themselves with kinky websites or BDSM or anything that many of us spend our lives browsing, thinking and acting out, yet indulge in spanking as a fun activity. One thing that occurred to me recently is that while many of these are in the context of birthday spankings, probably the next most common scenario outside of the spanking scene is the one-smacker. Certainly I've enjoyed a few occasions when I've made use of a situation to give an attractive female acquaintance a swat across her rear. One or two took exception, one or two more were taken aback by how much it stung, several just laughed it off.

But if you look on the web you come across an intersting scenario that I have never seen the spanko community try out in a photoshoot or video. It's the one-smacker where the spankee is so outraged by the force of the smack that they feel compelled to display the marks for the world to see. And some very fine pictures there are.

One single smack delivered to a bare, previously unmarked butt with maximum possible force is quite something. The resulting palm print is a work of art, but the sensation for the spankee is also something very different. Love to see someone from our community have a go at this with comments from both parties about their feelings about the experience (and lots of pictures before and afetr please!)

Important web link

Everyone who ever puts into practice their fantasies about spanking etc really needs to read this piece.

Very thought provoking.

Spoiled for Choice

There's some very inspirational material from vanilla sources. I mean wouldn't it just be an amazing experience to have to deal with this set of naughty young ladies. I wouldn't know where to start....
Second thoughts - I'd start with the third from the right - just in case my arm got tired before I got to her!

Thoughts while travelling

I travel a lot for work and often in hotels at night by myself it's a bit boring. Last night I'm sitting in a hotel club room having a quiet(ish) drink - this "ish" was mainly because of a group of Australians sitting nearby discussing different experiences of flights they had recently. After discussing the different seat configurations of Airbus and Boeing (yawn) one of them started on a recent flight where there had been a family with some kids running riot and the parent apparently unable to do anything to control them (thinks - message to all airlines - kids are best placed in the luggage hold).

The one of them said something about he would never have dared behave like that when he was a kid and suddenly the conversation became more interesting. Before I knew what was happening one of the guys was saying how often at his school if something happened to one of the kids in class and nobody would own up to be punished the teacher would go 'round and give the belt to everyone in the class apart from the victim, and how he thought that was really bad for the victim who had to watch it all. I've never been a fan of collective punishment and I could well see that the "victim" might end worse off as a lot of innocent kids got whacked and resented him/her for being the cause.

It also made me recall a story from a long time back when I was growing up. My parents were friendly with an older couple whose son had gone into teaching. I remember them saying once that the school he was in was a bit tough and on one occasion he'd taken his watch off during a class and it went missing. A search failed to find it and nobody owned up so in the end he had lined up the entire class (boys and girls) and caned every one of them but still didn't get his watch back. Amazing that this was ever acceptable I think. I'm not one of those who prefixes my website/blog with comments about not condoning the corporal punishment of minors because - so long as it's not done for sexual gratification - I think it has a place, but I would have expected parents to have been outraged if their son or daughter was caned or belted for something they hadn't done with this sort of "class action."

Back to the conversation in the hotel where one of the women in the group now added her story. She had two younger brothers and something (I didn't hear what) had gone wrong and they had been asked which of them was responsible with a threat that they might all be punished. She saw that her youngest brother was upset at the thought so she had owned up. However the other brother had then been ashamed and had admitted it was really him. The result was that their father had belted him for what he'd done wrong and then given her a good hiding for lying to try to cover up the truth. Now that does have some element of justice to it I suppose!

Love our lurkers day

Delighted to be a part of this great annual event and thanks to Bonnie for organising it. Delighted that I now have 24 people who are following this blog regularly. Delighted that occasionally someone posts a comment. Disappointed there aren't more comments? Well I suppose so. In particular nobody ever seems to comment when I go all serious about something, but those are the posts that matter most to me. However I'll keep going - sporadically. Any if any lurkers ever decide to just say hello I'll always appreciate it.

Pandora - thanks for the memory!

I always keep an eye on Pandora Blake's brilliant blog but this particular post has evoked a memory from many years ago - I used to hate PE at school and the teacher was a real sadist. One particular time he was trying to get us to vault over one of these horrible things and I still remember when he decided some us weren't trying he stood alongside with a plimsoll and if you didn't make it over you were liable to get a sharp crack of the plimsoll across your gym shorts. Now if I was PE teacher and had a naughty girl not trying to exercise properly I can see why one of these would be so useful.

If like me you treasure such memories the full size picture is on Pandora's site.

New Blog

Well not the new actually but new to me. My Spanish isn't very good but there is some stunning photography on (Sub)Missão: um relacionamento intenso e único so it's well worth a look. This image is so beautifully understated and invites you to use your imagination to create a story around it.

Noisy parties

Don't you just hate it when the summer comes, a group of students living in a nearby house decide the better weather is an excuse for a noisy party with lots of alcohol flowing, and nobody can get any peace???? Err, no. Not really.

I hate labels.

I hate labels.

We all use them as a kind of shorthand but in the process we dehumanise people and do massive damage to our society and to the life of individuals.

I've touched on this before but I feel very strongly (and unfortunately whenever I go off on one of these serious rants, it seems everyone switches off and I get even less feedback than usual although that might be quite difficult right now).

I've seen a number of news stories over the last year or so where school children have been accused (and in some cases convicted) of sexually harassing or abusing fellow pupils - in some cases actually involving rape. It's very easy and natural to brand these as disgusting little perverts who need to be kept in a secure place where they can't harm anyone else. Except that, when I cast my mind back, I can think of times I was at school and did things which would put me in that same category. I used to travel home from school by train along with a lot of others from my (all boys) school and similar numbers from an adjacent (all-girls) school. The trains were always busy and in particular a lot got off at the same station that I used and there was always a big crush to get through the ticket barrier. There were many times I managed to arrange to be behind a schoolgirl of about the same age as myself with my hand pressing her bottom as we pushed through. If someone had suggested this was a criminal activity I'd have thought they were barking. Eventually I came to realise it perhaps wasn't a very good thing to do although I never got caught.

The press love to use labels - we've seen high profile case in the last year where people were labelled as hooker, prostitutes and so on even without evidence of them selling sex as such. But once the label is there everyone can treat them contemptuously without stopping to think about what's really going on. Adele Haze on her wonderful blog has written several times around this theme saying, for example, that as a spanking model she accepts the term "sex worker" to describe what she does. She's also written some interesting stuff about the sorts of jobs people perhaps can or can't have if they're into this sort of scene.

Of course, the number one case for labelling is paedophile. Before I go any further I have to say that I don't condone or approve people sexually exploiting or abusing under-age boys or girls and personally I can't imagine what they get out of it. But one event this week in the North East of England when a man and his pregnant wife had to be rescued from their own home by police after it was attacked by a mob who had heard (mistakenly as it happens) that he was a paedophile demonstrates how bad people's reaction to labels can be.

If society decided tomorrow that consensual spanking between adults and images and fantasy stories on the subject were to be illegal could I switch off my interest in order to comply with the law?

However the most damaging aspect of labels is perhaps the impact on the criminal justice system. I keep on the right side of the law (for now - unless they change it as I said in the previous paragraph) and part of the reason is that I couldn't live with being labelled as a criminal. I could pay the fine, even lose my freedom for a period of time if I had to, but it would be having other people know me as a criminal that would be unbearable. That might sound a good thing. The trouble is that it works the other way as well. Once someone has acquired the label then there's no way back and no real incentive not to keep on breaking the law since you're already stigmatised by the criminal label.

Birthday presents?

I've just seen an American website offering an unusual item that I think would make a perfect gift. They seem to suggest you buy one for yourself and get your friends to use it on you and then sign it as a souvenir. I'd rather arrange to have one sent to all my friends anonymously as a gift on their birthdays and just see which of them mentioned it at their birthday party!
