It came in the second part of their video St Catherine's School For Girls - Punishment PE. Of course, we don't see the "whole school" watching but we do see the headmaster and the always lovely Kami Robinson on a platform at the front of a large hall. The headmaster makes some announcements to the school while Kami is standing facing a corner wearing a top, white knickers and knee socks with her hands on her head. The headmaster announces her crime and summons her to the stage to be caned. With her back to the "audience" she has to touch her toes and gets six strokes across her knickers. Then she is told to lower her knickers to her knees to let the whole school see her bottom. As she does so there is some canned laughter from the assembly. He also threatens two girls at the front that they could be joining Kami on the stage if they don't behave. The two apparently continue to attract his attention as the caning continues and he tells them to report to his office straight after assembly. After Kami's caning, she is told to turn to face the assembly before pulling up her knickers and leaving the stage.
It's not perfect but it is a very good stab at a caning in front of the school. It captures really well how embarrassing it would be for a pupil to be caned in front of the whole school and particularly because of the laughter it would have been really humiliating. Having to turn to face the whole school at the end of the punishment would have really been upsetting for anyone.
Canings in front of the whole school did really happen, albeit very rarely and never on the bare bottom. Shame that they couldn't find a similar solution for Caned Every Day.

Oh my! I find these schoolgirl films in your recent post so visceral, scary, realistic....and yes, wonderful ! The nostalgia is palpable, James.
Although bare schoolgirl bottoms in class, assembly or indeed anywhere at School are fantasy; a simple translation into
CP at home for these girls (& for me back in the day!)....why, bare bottoms for the cane at home was nothing but normal with strict moms n dads !
This lovely montage, thank you James, reminds of all the Janus, Roue & Blushes magazines that I read in the 1970s & 80s. The bare botty canings for daughters at home at that time, were realistically photographed (& supported by the superb & sublime Readers' Letters) where as the fantasy-based spankings at school (photos, stories & articles) could so easily be transferred into the home environment with a lil' imagination & curious thought. Oh my!
Maybe not all readers experienced this, but in the 1970s & 80s, most female readers of Janus would have their bare backsides smacked , strapped & caned when they misbehaved, by their parents anyway !! That was just normal, necessary discipline back then.....especially for me & my lil' sister growing up in Georgia, US. Indeed, nearly y'all girls at our local suburban church gotten their bare bums tanned as a matter of fact (this was the 1960s & 70s) The church advocated bare bottom punishment at every turn: "spare the rod, spoil the child" was the strict mantra. There was no deviation away from that principle of stern, practical home discipline - the seat of learning for sure.
I like the simplicity of this caning above. I never really liked some of the bizarre (abusive) rituals of Readers' Letters in Janus, but thank the Lord, most girls gotten a simple, necessary knicks-down caning from mom or dad, without ridiculous procedures. Sister & me gotten a fairly quick, simple scolding, baring and caning procedure in our childhoods, so I liked the simple processes described by moms n daughters in Janus.
We two naughty girls at home in our living room in the 1960s, put our hands on our heads while mom was scolding, then she pulled our panties down to our knees (the "breeze on the botty moment of truth") & then we bent over the sofa or armchair for the dreaded cane. Differences arose depending on what clothes we wore, with our faithful, oft-worn overalls or dungarees (plus panties) taking far longer to adjust due south, to expose our chubby, fairy-soft, squishy-white white botties for punishment; given all their poppers, straps n fasteners, as opposed to a light summer dress being simply hoisted clear of our bare nates, James !
I'm always fascinated with the phased caning concept, above: first over knickers, & then upon bare buttocks. This is common in Spanking scenes over 50 years from Janus to Momma Spankings & Strictmoor Academy. I do prefer it when panties are pulled down right at the get go. That seems perhaps more realistic & indeed is how mom did it for me & my sister in yore - ie all strokes given on bare skin. Likewise my own two young daughters gotten their bottoms smacked the exact same way from me when they were naughty growing up (back in the 1980s & 90s), so either one or two pairs of cotton panties had to be taken down for the cane at the very start of their whuppin', not part way through !!!! The panties did not misbehave, James !
