Whilst I feel that images purporting to depict school punishment scenarios lack credibility once clothing starts to be removed, I don't have the same qualms about domestic settings. Therefore I have no problem with a scene where a naughty young lady is made to remove her clothing, such as it was, to be put over her father's lap for a very heavy spanking in the living room, and is then ordered up to her bedroom for an early bed. Although she might ordinarily be embarrassed by those present seeing her running up the stairs naked, on this occasion they've just seen everything there is to see anyway and what's more they've just witnessed her sobbing her eyes out as she was subject to a very thorough walloping, and she just wants to get to the privacy of her own room as soon as possible.

Why yes, a grounding or timeout upstairs is very useful...especially after a bare bottom skelping! That is how I gotten raised.
On specific details, I do entirely agree with Old Tom. Our mother used to say to my sister & me, back in the 1960s, that only our backsides needed to be completely bare for a spanking with the cane. No need for anything else to be bare. Sure thing!
Our punishment protocol was frequent & simple. It was dresses up & knickers pulled down to our knees only, for a good, sound whuppin' with the rod. It was always with the cane & always on our bare bottoms. No wishy-washy nonsense. But we never gotten to remove our clothing & so were never spanked naked.
Oh my! Dresses aloft & panties pulled down to knees by mom, ensured maximum sting of the cane on a bare botty, maximum safety & sufficient humbling without humiliation. She was so right! It was all just so routine & normal - that is how we gotten punished.
