Hannah hated detention and worried about explaining to her mother why she was late home from school again, so when Mr Shields had jokingly offered to let her trade the detention for four whacks with his size 9 plimsoll, she thought it would be a hoot. She clearly hadn't thought it through - bending over his desk, her short skirt didn't cover her bottom, and he laid on the whacks with rather too much enthusiasm...

There's something quite appaling about the site of a young lady holding or rubbing her bottom like that to get rid of the stinging sensation. I'm sure we'd all like to offer our assistance.

I hope Hannah's mother keeps a thin, uber-flexible, rattan cane on the wall at all times, James. Ok, my mother kept the cane in the cupboard for sister & me...and Oh my! We sure knew it was there, already!!
Before taking her daughter's knickers down for the cane on a bare bum, mom will order her to remove those precocious, princess brat shoes!! By the way, the cane to a bare, soft botty is normal in my experience as a mother raising my own two young daughters strictly & kindly, and I believe it is a sign of good parenting, James. My girls are now in their 30s are fiercely pro-spanking. We are just a normal Southern family
I have no PC DNA in my bones and am a staunch supporter of Southern style domestic justice at home- my girls (now grown up) gotten their bare backsides tanned sore with that flexible, rattan switch-cane when needed, just like me & my sister gotten from my mom as a naughty child in the 1960s. Naughty steps did not feature, I am afraid to say.
One good thing about my upbringing in Georgia James, is that seeing a naughty brat like this photo - there is a 99% chance she gotten her bare bot spanked by her mom & pop, growing up ! And when I raised my daughters it gotten to be around 80%, with Southern moms being the strictest of statistical positives on spanking CP intentions & actions!!! PC was a real minority sport, praise the Lord. Europe & UK figures are different from US, naturally. Although in the 1960s & 1970s they were more akin to the strict US Southern states!
Yes, this girl having her bare botty caned when naughty at home (12 strokes on the bare works well for me a as a mom, with a big sting building perfectly. 6 strokes is rather a let off) is a sure rite of passage or a fact of life in my opinion & experience, James. It is safe & harmless but it sure licked me into shape as a naughty lil' Christian girl. I gotten to College & a real, good career -lessons were learned early, on the place (chubby-bare, tender-skinned & very white) provided by God for loving chastisement!
