Guide to this blog

The Blogroll is now in three parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated with the most recent first. Many blogs use the BDSMLR platform which does not include date information; they are in a separate Blogroll arranged alphabetically but I check from time to time and remove any that have been permanently closed. The final part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds - again in alphabetical order.

Dramatic news from Pandora Blake

Many in the UK spanko community will be aware that Pandora Blake's website Dreams Of Spanking was closed down by ATVOD, largely - it seemed - as revenge for her campaigning work for freedom to express her sexual kink rather than any real concerns for the damage her site might do.  Well now that has been overturned and the website is set to return.  Whether or not you like the website and want to subscribe, this sets an important limit on the restrictions that some might seek to impose on portraying perfectly legal activity on video.

Check out the full story here and hopefully many will support her revived website.

There is a sort of later day puritanism at work in government. Once those who did not marry or had children out of wedlock were reviled by society. Being Gay was to be a pariah. Now these latter day puritans seem to want to stamp on any sexual activity they deem "inappropriate" or damaging. Why should someone be persecuted because they enjoy being part of the BDSM community? This is an important victory for the freedom. It may not seem it but it is. The state does not have the right to impose its morality unless the welfare of the vulnerable is endangered. Dreams of Spanking endangered no one.

Well said Anonymous - I have several work colleagues who are openly gay and nobody seems to feel threatened by them. You don't have to be gay yourself to feel it's pretty much their own business. However, I suspect that if I "came out" and told everyone I was into (fairly mild) S&M they would think there was something wrong with me and feel under threat in case I suddenly decided to whack them. One day perhaps people will realise that being with a heterosexual of the opposite gender doesn't actually make it likely that they will force you to have sex with them, being with a homosexual of the same gender is equally safe, and being with someone who is interested in and engages in consensual corporal punishment doesn't mean they're likely to assault you. We seem to have achieved the first two of those to a large extent and I would love the third to become a reality in my lifetime. People like Pandora are helping.

Pandora Blake is one of a kind. A true fighter for the rights of all 'spanko's. She deserves 'six of the best', on her voluptuous naked rear end for the accomplished task of convincing the U. K. that there is no room for censorship in 'spankoland' Hip Hip Hoorah, for Pandora!. And I wish her the best of luck in the future.
