...for twelve hours with nothing to do for starting a bit of creativity. I used to write a lot of spanking stories and as per usual I still have about eight or nine unfinished (or unstarted ideas). One I had an idea but just couldn't see how to make it work, another I was close to finishing but couldn't come up with an ending, another needed a twist to make it different to any others I've written or read. By the end of a very boring (otherwise) 12 hours they're all back on track. One question - do people still read spanking fiction? If so what's the most convenient form to publish? PDF files perhaps? Not sure how the security works with them - I know how to strip out personal details from Microsoft Word files but it's not a good distribution format but I'm not sure what might be buried in a PDF - anyone help?
Incidentally it's a good distraction from on-going health concerns.

Do you have openoffice.org? If not, I would highly, highly recommend it.
As for PDF, blech. Couldn't you post them as a separate HTML document, or perhaps as a Google Document linked to your blog?
Maybe you'd like Flash Fiction Friday? 250-words, 24-hours, 3 wildcards. Come join in: http://bit.ly/11Pu2t
I read spanking fiction and so do many others, there's so much variety out there. I prefer to read and write M/M discipline fic and I self publish via Lulu. My fans can buy books or download pdf files that Lulu creates from my uploaded manuscripts. Lulu is quite good, once you work out how to format your work, it's especially great if you want to give your readers the chance to download your fiction. It has its downside of course, such as high costs on postage, but I've had fun with it. :-)

James, I attach .pdf files to the publications page of my blog and as best as I can tell the 'properties' are invisible ... It would be best to always change any unwanted information in the native word file ... hope this helps and health recovers ... RH
