It's a question people have often asked about the heir to the British throne, but in this case (admittedly a fairly old and slightly grainy picture) I would have a pretty good guess!

Bums on the run

I think this effort being made by several of the top names (or should that be bottom...?) in the UK spanking scene is worthy of much support. It marks a significant shift in openness about spanking that so many of our favourite girls are openly taking part in this sponsored run to raise money for a good cause. Check out their website and get making donations. I've also thought of a way to help the training involving someone dressed as a headmaster and brandishing a cane chasing after them... any takers? Anyone else having problems with images in this blogger?

When I first started posting I was able to insert small images which, if you clicked on them, could be expanded to full size. Now that doesn't seem to work. Don't think I'm doing anything different and I'm not anywhere near file capacity so far as I can see - any suggestions?

Punished on the hands

I've been meaning to post something on this theme for a while, but was finally prompted to do so by reading a piece on the subject at another blog site (http://www.eltercerojo.net/2007/03/hand_punishment.html).

It really interests me that punishments on the hand make it at all into adult CP-related websites and literature. There is so much written about the reasons why corporal punishment applied to the buttocks becomes associated with sexual stimulation (for both the punisher and punishee) but little of those can explain why either party should find the idea of hitting someone on the palm of their hands could have a relationship with sexual arousal. Obviously the dominant-submissive power relationship is still there but why else does it have a role in CP fantasy?

I think there are two things going on - first is the ever-present schoolgirl fantasy and second is a liking for realism. Even 'though (I hope) people don't want to go out and inflict corporal punishment on a non-consensual basis against an under-age girl, the primary fantasy for many in the scene is based on adults consenting to scenarios based on just such a theme. And, if we value realism, then in the last few years of corporal punishment being administered in British schools it was far more likely, if a girl was to be punished that way at all, that it would be by means of a cane or belt (tawse) across the hands (as seen, for example, in the very realistic BBC school drama Grange Hill in the episode where Cathy was given the cane by the headmistress).

I thought that particular scene was quite severe - not just because of the pain a cane causes on the palm, but making her go through the ordeal with her mother present and watching.

Actually using a cane across the palms is not without some risk of injury and many would argue that such canings and strappings were more severe in terms of pain levels than the same punishment applied to the backside. Add to that the undoubted difficulty of managing to hold your arm out straight in front of you as you see the belt or cane coming down and it may not be the easiest role to play but it undoubtedly has its place.

Official: a slap on the bottom can make girls think more about sex!

Really! The trick apparently is the use of a small patch containing a new drug developed by Procter & Gamble called Intrinsa. You slap one of these on the girl's bottom apparently and she spends more time thinking about sex. Sounds interesting.

Easy mistake to make

When you're a little obsessed with all things spanking related, it's easy to jump to the wrong conclusions. I remember that brief surge of excitement when I saw a van pulling away from a factory unit and both were adorned with the company name CP Supplies. Visions of a cash-and-carry stocking tawses, canes and paddles were quickly found to be untrue.

And then, some pictures on the Internet are confusing. Obviously this guy is giving the girl a sharp smack across her backside - right?

Well no, actually - he's doing the gallant thing of trying to save her from an embarrassing photograph that could end up on the Internet!

New Blog

I currently monitor over 50 blogs - almost all related to spanking - but only list on this site a selected few. Many are only rarely updated or have very text centered comment. However I've just added The Spank Statement to this list. It's another relative newcomer but there was been some good research, good originality and good variety.

Regrets - I've had a few, but then again...

...perhaps not as many as some of the people who end up with their pictures all over the World Wide Web. And I'm not just talking about those candid "former girlfriend posing in the bedroom on the understanding he would never show the pictures to anyone else" photos!

There's a whole load of people who, with hindsight (very appropriately), probably think they misjudged the situation.

There's the ones who agree after a few drinks at their party to let their friends give them a birthday spanking without remembering that the idea of a spanking is a sore bottom...

Some, of course go further, and get persuaded to see what it's like to get a whack with a sorority paddle...

Then there's ones who let their boyfriends pick them up and then find there's not much they can do to protect their well positioned derriere...
Another fairly basic mistake is, for a dare, to let your boyfriend use your butt for bongo practice...

After all, once you've got into that position, it's not easy to get out of and he can practice away until his hand is too sore to continue.

A different error that may lead to regrets is to be the one doling out the spanking. After all, if you've done it to someone else, then you'd better take it in the right spirit if someone decides to turn the tables on you...

And lastly, one really big fundamental error. You're at a party, you've had a bit to drink and your inhibitions are fading. Someone decides to set up a keg standing competition (for the uninitiated this is where you have a barrel of beer and do a handstand on it - supported by friends - and have to drink the beer while upside down for as many seconds as you can). Now this isn't a very feminine activity at the best of times. If you're wearing a short skirt at the time, it's really perhaps not a good idea to get talked into it. But if you do...

...it's a really good idea to make sure one of your friends has brought along a paddle as well because you're not really able to get out of the way.

What makes a good spanking story (Part one)

I've been thinking about what make a good spanking story for me, however it's presented - text, photostory in a magazine, photostory on the web, video - whatever.

I think there are a number of things I really like to see included. First is I like to see the recipient of the punishment doing the offence for which they're going to be punished. Maybe I'm unusual here, but I even like to see or read about girls committing offences for which they could be punished! For example...

...and of course, the old favourite - smoking!

It probably seems strange - I hate smoking. But if I see a schoolgirl sneaking a crafty smoke it definitely does something for me. I suppose at the time when I was at school, smoking was probably the most common reason for girls to get into serious trouble at school so you can always think what might have happened to them in a different era.

Sometimes, don't you want to ask why?

Take this image for instance. You're sitting happily browsing through your collection of pictures of birthday spankings and you suddenly spot something you haven't seen before, and you'd just like to be able to ask "Why?" - why does this guy find it neccesary to wear a polythene glove in order to administer a spanking?
