Guide to this blog

The Blogroll is now in three parts. The main part is arranged according to the date the blog was last updated with the most recent first. Many blogs use the BDSMLR platform which does not include date information; they are in a separate Blogroll arranged alphabetically but I check from time to time and remove any that have been permanently closed. The final part is a list of interesting Twitter feeds - again in alphabetical order.

Advantages of drawings over photos (5) - last in series

I sometimes find with drawings there's much more left to your imagination than with a photo.  Here a boy and girl have been caught misbehaving at school and sent to the headmistress.  After the ritual telling off the girl has been told to face the wall while the boy is given a humiliating and painful six strokes of the cane across his bare bottom.  Secretly the girl is sneaking a look and clearly enjoying the opportunity see her distressed boyfriend getting a red striped bottom.  As a girl she's safe from being caned herself and at worst might get a detention.

But what is actually going to happen?  Perhaps noticing that the girl has been turning to look, the headmistress will be so annoyed that she will decide to ignore normal practice and the girl will be bent over next with her skirt up and panties down.

Love Our Lurkers Day (s)

I'm not sure of the reasoning for us celebrating Love Our Lurkers day over two days this year but I guess it's a longer opportunity for some of those who normally view our blogs without commenting to add their voices..  Actually, recently a few seem to have been doing that anyway.  Even if you won't post to join us in this annual event you can rest assured that we appreciate the page views anyway.

Advantages of drawings over photos (4)

Even if a drawing is not especially sophisticated it can be really good at capturing a lot of things happening at the same time, and often more so than a photo achieves.  In this example the four characters all express different feelings even 'though it is quite a primitive style of art.
Working from right to left the girl who has just left the office clutching her throbbing bottom is red faced and tearful and has no thoughts for anything or anyone else but her own current misery.  The headmaster is stern and unmoved and keen to get on with things and deal with the other miscreants so he can get back to more important tasks.  The girl being summoned into the office for her paddling is trying to look defiant but you can also see the fear in her eyes and the positioning of her feet gives away her real trepidation at what she's about to get.  The remaining girl on the left of the image is not coping at all well - even though it's not yet her turn to be paddled she knows it's coming and is clearly distraught - perhaps she's never been here before but she's just heard the heavy pops as the first girl got a sizzling six swats and she's terrified by the knowledge that, inexorably, her turn will come, and she knows from common gossip that a paddling from the headmaster is an extremely painful experience.

Advantages of drawings over photos (3)

I talked on the previous "drawings" post about being able to have more spectators - of course there's no need to stop at a class full - it can be the whole school or even a theatre full of spectators adding to the ahame of the victim.

Advantages of drawings over photos (2)

The school I attended between the age of about 8 and about 11 years of age used to use corporal punishment a lot.  The thing that I find annoying - with hindsight - was that it was very trivial.  I didn't realise this at the time and went out of my way to ensure I never got it, but a regular series of miscreants would get hauled to the front of the class and whacked time and time again and although it was probably a real laugh to them because they knew from previous experience that it wasn't really done in a way that would hurt much, the rest of us were cowed into meek compliance through our ignorance.

However, I would say that I - and I think most of my fellow pupils - did quite enjoy the spectacle when someone was getting whacked with a stick, ruler, slipper or just the hand.  When people are shooting spanking scenes it would get rather cumbersome and expensive to employ models to just be in the class watching with interest as one of their colleagues is dealt with but of course drawings don't suffer such limitations.
This drawing came from Janus magazine and was provided to illustrate a story where a teacher decided to punish one of the older girls by humiliating her - she took the girl into a class of much younger pupils, put her over her knee and spanked her bare bottom.  It was very much the case that the girl would have elected a more severe punishment delivered in privacy rather than this humiliation in front of the younger girls, but clearly they were very much enjoying the spectacle.  I'm not sure we would ever have jostled for a view quite this obviously but I can certainly empathise with the excitement showing in the faces of the audience.

Favourite for November

It's great when you're the centre of attention disrupting class and making all you friends laugh.
However, it's really not so great when all your friends have left for home but you've been kept back after class by a very pissed of teacher.  There's just you and her and that cane that she's holding.  You know you'll be going home, late, and with a striped and very sore bottom.
