Over the next few years, my fascination with corporal punishment grew and grew. I finally discovered that I was not alone. Reading Ian Gibson's book "The English Vice" in my local library I found references to magazines called Roue and Janus and one day I saw one of these for sale and bought it. But I was obviously still in a very small minority.
Then came the early days of the Internet and suddenly there were quite a lot of us out there exchanging thoughts on USENET, but obviously still a minority. Then the web grew up and there were lots of websites to explore and it seemed that maybe there were more of us than I had ever thought, and many of 'us' seemed quite normal in other respects.
Then the web began to provide opportunities for people to post their photographs and videos, and every day you can find new examples of 'ordinary' people obviously enjoying spanking, or being spanked or just watching someone else get spanked.
And I've begun to wonder - perhaps I've had it wrong all along. Perhaps it's the non-spankos who are the small minority - okay, so there might be a lot who aren't prepared to admit it yet, but just maybe one day it will become the accepted norm... If you go back a while, it wasn't really the 'done thing' to say you enjoyed sex, and now most people would say they do (not all, and a huge accolade to anyone with the guts to say otherwise). It would be interesting if, in say another ten years, it would be unusual to find someone who would say they didn't enjoy spanking in some form or other.
